Currently On My Face

Recently my makeup taste has completely changed. I have gone from bold heavy matt makeup to a very soft subtle glow. I have been living for a lighter base on my skin and less of that matt and flat look. So todays post is just a breakdown of my everyday makeup really! It features some oldie but goldie products as well as some insane new bits I’ve been sent and picked up along the way the last few months. So lets just straight…

The Full Face

The base is probably the majority of it as I’m all about the skin and creating that healthy glow from within look. So starting off would be moisturise and primer of course but aside from that I like to go in with the Trinny London Just A Touch Concealer in ‘Bambi’. This is a beautiful high coverage concealer on a little bit goes a long way and is perfect for days you don’t want to wear foundation. Now if you’re like me and you don’t want foundation but concealer isn’t enough try going in with a BB cream. I have recently been loving the Trinny London BFF Cream Skin Perfector in ‘Lighest’. Amazing for everyday as it has a SPF of 30 and gives you a little more coverage without looking heavy or cake. After that I usually go in with my go to concealer. The Makeup Revolution Full Conceal & Define Full Coverage Concealer in shade C1 for my underage area to help brighten the darkness I have and then if I still feel my base needs a little more I will go in my the shade C2 to add a little more coverage. I then go in with even more cream products; blush, bronzer and highlighter. For blush I use my absolute favourite cream blush which is the Fenty Beauty Match Stix in the shade ‘Trippin’, A beautiful shimmer pinky peach product that just adds a little pop to the skin. I then go into the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Cream Kit and take the shades ‘Java’ and ‘Light Sculpt’ to warm up my face. This is the perfect build able product ever, I can use the lightest touch for natural days and if I wish to go a little more heavier handed it is still amazing to work with. After warming up my face I then go in with the Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Glow in the shade ‘Perla’. This is literally a beautiful product and is well worth the $$$.

Now as much as I am head over heels for cream products I still have oily skin and I need to powder my skin in order to not look like I’ve just stepped out the shower lol. Of course I use my good old trusty faithful Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder, amazing quality snd super affordable! Then just to add a little more colour and to set the rest of my face I use the Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer and the Nyx Baked Blush in the shade ‘Sugar Mama’. Then to top off the face makeup I use the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in the shade ‘Vanilla Quartz’. By far Becca is one of my favourite places to shop for highlighters – honestly they are one of the best brands ever for pressed powder highlight formulas.

Now the rest of my face is basically just eyes and lips and I do nothing special but take my bronzer and use this as eyeshadow and then use my Becca highligher on the inner corner and eyebrow bone and that is basically it. The only new products I adware the Nyx Slide On Glide Eyeliner in ‘Brown Perfection’ as well as my fave mascara ever the Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara in ‘Black’. I then top the whole look off with a Trinny London Lipglow in the shade ‘Maddie’. Now that is pretty much it I understand the base it quite a lot but I really have toned down my eye makeup and choose to go for a more slowly natural look rather than a matte face and a smokey eye. Now even though I still love this for every day wear I prefer a lighter look.

Until next time…
