I decided around 3/4 months ago while I was in America that I was going to re do the branding for my blog, move from Blogger to WordPress and basically have a complete new look to BitchinBlonde. So I guess this will be Bitchin’Blonde 3.0 as this is the second re branding I have done. Last time was about 2+ years ago when I was in university and since then my style has changed, my skills have improved (I hope), the content I like to create has changed and over all I just really felt like 2018 was a year of deconstruction and realising who I was and I felt I had just out grown the old Erin. So here is it a new year, a new blog but a more improved me. I am hoping to bring some fresh new content but still keep my little ootd accompanied with lifestyle writing and beauty reviews as well as doing some makeup looks as I have had a lot of feedback asking for those!
I am sure a lot of you are wondering why it took me so long to re do my blog and honestly it is because I wanted it to be perfect and I was also learning about the process along the way. I didn’t want this to be a quick I needed time to decide on my logo, colour schemes, layout and templates as well as deciding new content and doing some research. It has been a long process but now it is all done and dusted I am so happy I took my time and thought long and hard about things because now I am positive this is branding that will stay for a long time. I contacted Pip Dig about moving from Blogger to WordPress and they were amazing and done the move very quickly and seamlessly even in the height of Christmas, which is insane. I then spent about a month deciding on illustrations and what type of style I liked and felt suited me. I have been following Lucy on Instagram for probably years now and I always had in mind that I would love to work with her on a project so when I decided to revamp my website I knew this was the perfect time to ask Lucy to help with my logo! She done a brilliant job and I am so happy with everything she came up with, she is so super talented – check out her work here.
I just wanted to say thank you to everyone who has been reading my blog for the past three years it honestly means so much to me and its been amazing to document my growth. I hope you like the new website and I cant wait to hear responses from you all.
Until next time…
