Fuzzy jumpers, the staple for autumn/winter. I always struggle finding the perfect jumper. Every year I am always trying to hunt down just the right jumper. Even this year I am still hunting but I have found one which has came pretty damn close to perfect so I thought I would share with you guys how I’ve been styling this £13 jumper. Yes you heard me thirteen pounds!
A few weeks back I popped into Primark after seeing my bestie Abigail’s haul. I was of course trying to hunt down this jumper I dream about. I found myself deep in roll necks, bell sleeves and fuzzy knits. Among them I found this beautiful pure cream, insanely soft, fuzzy jumper. This so far has been my go to for the past couple of weeks. You will have seen on my Instagram that I styled it with 3/4 wide dark jeans from Topshop and now I’m here styling it with one of my favourite skirts, this embroidered little number from Zara A/W16.
Now this jumper is near perfect except the length it is a really awkward length, I either want into be a little shorter or a little longer to wear it as a dress. It tucks in okay but there is just a tad too much material for jeans, so I do have to think when I am paring it with bottoms. Apart from that with it being such a plain colour it goes with everything in my wardrobe which I love. I am trying to think more consciously before I buy items. I am looking for more staple pieces and things that will already go with a lot of items in my wardrobe. Over the past few months I have really tried to stop spontaneous shopping and start searching the highstreet and charity shops for staple items like trousers and jumpers.
One thing which makes me love this jumper even more is how perfect it fits under my leather jacket from Mango. You know the struggle when you have a thick jumper and you’re trying to squeeze it under a jacket and the outcome is having a mini melt down or feeling stiff, and walking around like you’re doing the ‘robot dance’. It isn’t cute. This jumper however is quiet thin despite looking super thick and fluffy which is another brownie point to Primark. It fitted perfect under my jumper and I love a roll neck with a leather jacket especially the the roll neck is a soft pastel or a cream.
I topped this look of with a baker boy hat from ASOS, the only place us pea heads can get hats that fit! Some fishnets of course because it isn’t too cold yet here in Liverpool so fishnets are still in my wardrobe. Finished the outfit with some statement orange/red boots from Next and my classic Whistles bag, or as I like to call it, my tardis. This outfit is super simple but I think with the hat, statement boots and the detail in the skirt i’ve really dressed up what is just a basic jumper from Primark. This outfit made me re-think a few other pieces in my wardrobe and how basics can be a little fun and do not just have to be basic.
So hope you guys enjoyed another #ootd from me, I am planning to shoot a few more soon so keep your eyes peeled on my blog/Instagram oh and of course my YouTube – www.youtube.com/bitchinblonde.
See you next Friday for another post!
