This blog post has been a blog post I have been waiting to upload for so long, I had the imagery but I hadn’t written anything. Then other blog posts for brands came up and this one slowly made it’s way down further and further into the draft pile. So today is the day I am finally sharing these photographs of a #ootd I took back in early Spring. Enjoy!
This was when I started to kick my wardrobes butt and introduced a little bit of colour into my life, influenced by an orange top I bought back in Winter I decided my life (wardrobe really) needed more colour. So along came this red denim skirt I bought in NewLook (pretty sure it is now in their sale). You may have recognised the skirt from a ‘Spring Additions’ clothing haul I done on my YouTube channel a while back – ‘Bitchin’ Blonde’. In the haul I had A LOT of red clothing and this was just one of many, but this one has been worn many times so far. I thought it would be perfect for Spring/Summer. Great for all my summer plans like holidays and festival and if Liverpool gets any sunshine…

So apart from wanting it due to the colour I really wanted it because it was a ‘safe’ item for me. I usually wear the same clothing in a different variety of colours so this skirt I actually own something really similar in denim blue, grey denim and black denim, yes I really like denim. All of which are staples which go with cute frilly tops and band tees. This red one is nothing different but the colour itself adds something to the outfit which means I don’t have too. I am all about looking effortlessly chic, well I want to be usually I try really hard but I wanna look like I don’t lol. I do really like basic pieces which make you look put together when really it is a t-shirt and jeans kind of day.
I hope you guys enjoyed this little #ootd I have been wanting to sharing these for a while, I just the the red skirt with the pink background!I hope soon I can bring you guys more outfit posts, so stay tuned!
See you next Friday!
