Floral Dress | Birthday OOTD

So you may have seen (as I didn’t shut up about it) it was my birthday last week and I turned 21, the big 21, the adult zone etc. Now I usually don’t enjoy birthdays but this year was kind of different! Everyone made such an effort and it was honestly by far one of my favourite birthday ever, it might even just be the best. I wanted to share a part of my birthday with you guys and since last year I wrote a ‘Becoming 20‘ I thought I would share an OOTD. Now even though my incredible family and friends spread my birthday out over three days I’ve decided just to pick one outfit from the three days. I decided on what I wore for my meal celebrating 21 years of life so far…

A dress I would never ever normally choose, 1. because it is so girly 2. it is pink but both of which is why I love it! Lately as I am sure you have seen I’ve been really getting into pink. The girly aspect however, I have no idea where this came from. I think I just kinda like pretty girly meets goth grunge at the moment, it’s a look I’m experimenting with.

The jacket was an item I had been looking for for a while and I unexpected found it the day before the meal while shopping with Abbie, Blush&Noise. I had been after a black jacket that wasn’t a leather/leather look for a long time as even though I love leather skirts or pants with a leather jacket, sometimes it looks a little too much for me so I was looking for either a material or a denim and luckily I found this one. It is the perfect black denim jacket as it is fitted, it is not over sized like my other denim jacket, perfect for pairing with leather mini skirts but also this dress to dress it down a little.

Jacket – Vintage | Dress – Topshop | Bag – Cambridge Satchel Company | Boots – Topshop | Sunglasses – RayBan

Bag of course has already made an appearance on my blog but it is juts so beautiful how could I not feature it again?! My incredible personalised Cambridge Satchel Poppy bag was the perfect match for the dress as they share this beautiful shade of pink.

I then topped it off with fishnets off course and little black boots from the Topshop sale. I loved what I wore as I’m not really into getting super dressed up so this was the perfect combination of smart casual for me!

I hope you guys enjoyed my outfit of the day for my birthday, an enjoyed the incredible imagery in todays post by Jessica Grace Neal, you can find her on instagram on @jessicagraceneal / @ jgnphotography and of course twitter @JessicaGraceN . See you guys next Friday…
