2016 has been a whirl wind of explosive fashion trends, from sock styled footwear, band tees, embroidery, patches and many more. I’ve seen my style shift and twist and I finally feel like I know where I’m at with it. Movement is my answer. After reading a blog post by FashionSlave HERE I felt she was justing singing to thoughts in my mind. What’s your personal style? Sfjvndkjb is my answer because honestly I have no idea, and I’m cool with that. I go from liking super grunge 90s looks to Disney pjs like I have no in between and that’s totally fine. I think there is a lot of pressure on fashion bloggers to be this super fantastic on trend stylist when in reality if your anything like me you live in sweats for 90% of the week. For me I have been finding my style quiet a lot this year but with fashion constantly changing you never know you might catch me in a pink fluffy jumper next weekend. As lovely as it would be to be completely confident in my own style I’m okay with not being because it doesn’t effect me as a person. Your style doesn’t define who you are as a person, it is just apart of you personality. Studying fashion I’ve found the media to be so critical of people who wear certain things and frankly make it out like wearing a short skirt the you makes you a bad person. It’s ridiculous fashion is expression of your personality and likes and dislikes etc. This has probably been my biggest life lesson yet, my style isn’t a destination I’m fighting to get to it’s a journey of experimenting and that I find fun! This was I know a very strange rambling post from me but it is just something that has been on my mind for a few weeks now and I just came here to vent.
Stayed tuned for more fashion faux pas from me in 2017 and follow me in my OOTD posts where I’m experimenting with styling, trends and much more and remember it’s okay to change things up.
