The Tavern | Review

So I’m back with another tasty treat in Liverpool for you guys to check out! This time I stirred away from Liverpool’s city centre and brought it back home. From as young as I can remember I spent most of my Sunday morning in The Tavern, located on Smithdown Road. Eating up everything from a full english (before my veggie days), to cream cheese bagels and plates and plates of home fries. It’s no wonder it has won multiple awards for it’s incredible food, including ‘The Nations Best Breakfast’ for numerous years. Now The Tavern doesn’t just specialise in incredible breakfast food on no! It also does Mexican food! So yeah knowing me this in one of my favourite restaurants because c’mon on who doesn’t love a huge chimichanga! Now even though I could go on for hours about the incredible burritos I’m here to strictly show you the breakfast, oh how my tummies rumbling already…

I went a few weeks back as a celebration for us three being back together as one of us sadly lives away in London! This was something we planned for so long and the night before consisted of me and Isobel texting each other about the homefries, so yeah thats why we ordered three plates! I had my usually eggs florentine. This was the most exotic eggs bene I had ever had, when do you come across a citrus twist hey? 10/10 for me. Isobel and her sweet tooth had pancakes which I drooled over and Liv decided to just create her own dish like she does in every restaurant, lol. Everything was of courses demolished and washed down with the unlimited tea and coffee!
If your hungover this is the only solution to your pain, they even serve breakfast till 2.00pm so dont worry about waking up late.
