I think I can say that my chocolate brownies are pretty damn good, well thats what my mum tells me lol. I thought for today I’d share my little recipe so many you can try them out for yourself. The recipe is super basic and honestly it doesn’t take long before your tucking into the delicious gooey chocolate heaven.
All you need is;
unsalted butter 175g
caster sugar 250g
plain flour 75g
medium eggs 2
milk quarter cup
bournville chocolate 190g (whole bar)
bournville cocoa powder 4 tbsp
1. pre heat your oven to gas mark four and have a deep square cooking tray loved with grease proof paper. I would suggest nut using butter otherwise the gooey goodness will stay in the pan and you’ll only be left with the crust topping.
2. Melt the chocolate over a stove of boiling water, when it is nearly melted add the softened butter and mix well. Don’t leave it alone for a second otherwise the chocolate burns to the bowl.
3. Whisk eggs and sugar separately then add to the chocolate mixture. Whisk on until thick and creamy and then add all of the dry ingredients. Pour into baking tray and then pop in the oven (you could also add some chocolate chips on tops for that extra touch! Cook for around 30-35 minutes make sure there is a slight movement underneath the crispy top.
4. Leave to cool for over 30 minutes on a baking tray and then serve up with a cup of tea and enjoy!
See you on Friday…
