What I Found Thrifting | NYC

In American there is a huge culture for second hand goods. Here in the UK we refer to it as charity shop shopping or vintage clothing, they call it thrifting. I myself am a huge fan of second hand clothes, it's something magical as every item has a owner with a story. I also believe it is an incredible way of spending less on clothing but also you're donating to incredible cause and keeping the heart of vintage alive. So of course planning my trip to NYC I knew and Alex knew there would be a lot of 'thrifting'. I found stores like 'Good Will' which I only heard of from '2 Broke Girls' so thanks! But also other little shops which helped in raising money for the homeless and to prevent HIV. I'm so happy on my holiday I able to help and donate money to such incredible stores with such precious hearts.
So I picked up a few pieces including a very smart blouse for those important formal occasions, a few t-shirts because honestly I am NO fashion blogger you see on Instagram, I may love blogging about it but I'm no fashionista. I love to rock up to my boyfriends in a t-shirt, jeans and my old tatty trainers. Same for uni no way am I sitting in my work station for 7 hours uncomfortable when I'm trying to produce a 30 page trend pack that Chanel wants to buy. Oh no honey. So I grabbed myself some more casual wear along with a flannel shirt. As you can see from my New York Vlog Here, I wore a red flannel (thanks Alex) most days. I decided to find myself one so I could layer up in the Autumn months but I also wanna try and style this in a  casual way for a blog post.

The first thing I picked up was a vintage Obey tee for $2. Now I don't know if this is the real obey or not, but the store I got it from seemed to sell real designer wear from the 2000s, so I think it is but if not who cares lol. This is probably my favourite piece I picked up as I was really after a baseball style tee.

I grabbed this fest tee not for any specific reason I just really liked the red and blue together. This top was $3...

Next I picked up this martial arts tee. God knows why but I thought it'll be okay for wearing on days when I'm not really going out or I'm going to Alex's for some Friday night pizza.

Now this is a flannel patagonia shirt, a brand Alex loves. I tried to convince him to get it but after he decided not to I though I will. I always wearing Alex's clothes and I always look like a boy so I thought this would suit me perfectly! However Alex now thinks it's his, ermmm no lol.

Last of all I picked up this blouse. Which honestly isn't really me. I don't Think I'd wear this on a day to day basis however lately I have really needed something super smart for formal events so I thought I'd pick up this one. I really like the button and russet detail which I think is very Victorian. This makes it gothic right?
